CODA is developing programs to address specific financial needs that our founder, Jim Marshall, has observed during visits to his own transplant clinic before and after his transplant. He has found the financial problems from transplantation consistent from hospital to hospital, clinic to clinic.
Transplant patients and their families:
- Incur budget-busting medical and prescription drug bills.
- Suffer loss of income.
- Divert money saved for a child's education to pay for medical and prescription drug expenses.
- Older couples on fixed incomes face premature exhausting of retirement savings.
Organ problems do not discriminate. They hit young and old, rich and poor. CODA's programs are intended to lessen the financial stress for those in need.

CODA programs are available for qualified residents of Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, and Denton counties. |
